A pupil from South Walney Junior School showed her passion for performance on one of the greatest world stages when she secured a finalist spot at the prestigious Poetry By Heart competition.

Talented pupil Oscar Hart is celebrating after winning the annual Lalita Patel Poetry Competition at South Walney Junior School. The award was established in 1993 by Walney newsagent Rajesh Patel.

Pupils enjoyed the annual school trip to London, taking in sights including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye and visit to the magical Harry Potter World.
